Job summary

The Energy Cooperative, headquartered in Newark, Ohio, is hiring a Propane Driver / Service Technician at the Nashport Service Center. This role involves delivering propane, installing storage tanks, performing inspections, and responding to emergencies, with adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Ideal candidates hold a Class B CDL with hazmat/tanker/air brakes endorsements and propane installation certification, along with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Education/experience: High school diploma with 2–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Licenses/Training: Valid CDL Class B+ with good driving record; hazmat, tanker and air brakes endorsements; propane system installation/operation/service certification.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace propane storage tanks, lines, regulators, and meters at member locations.
• Perform gas leak and appliance inspections and line leak testing.
• Deliver propane and propane accessories to members and respond to emergency calls (including after hours and weekends).
• Prepare documentation on propane installations, checks, replacements, repairs and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines.

Education

High school diploma + 2–3 years related experience or equivalent

Commercial Driver’s License (Class B or greater)

Hazardous materials endorsement

Tanker endorsement

Air brakes endorsement
