Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Delivery Driver to safely and promptly deliver propane to our customers. You will load, unload and deliver propane, maintain a clean vehicle and prioritize safety in all operations.

You will use available technology to track deliveries, print tickets and complete daily reports. Overtime and on-call work may be required to meet customer needs. The role requires a valid CDL A or B, tanker/Hazmat endorsements are preferred, and a DOT medical certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Delivery driver experience preferred (minimum 1 year).
• Hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred where applicable.
• CDL Class A or B required or preferred as stated.
• DOT medical certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, load and unload propane to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
• Use technology to monitor transfers, track inventory and print tickets.
• Complete daily driver reports and conduct pre/post vehicle inspections.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher for routing and safety information.
• Work overtime as needed and on-call when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Propane Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Propane Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Current DOT medical certification
• Ability to work overtime and on call

The hourly rate ranges from $26.00-32.50 with flexibility for highly qualified candidates based on industry experience, CDL/Hazmat endorsements, and technical expertise.
