Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Driver to safely and efficiently deliver propane to customers, load and unload propane, and provide exceptional customer service. The role emphasizes safety, regular vehicle inspections, and timely deliveries.

You will transfer and deliver propane, maintain vehicle safety, and use technology to track inventory and print tickets. Overtime may be required, with compensation considerations based on experience and endorsements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A or B with tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Current DOT medical certification required.
• Minimum 1 year delivery driver experience preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, load and deliver propane to and from containers for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Record and print delivery tickets; complete daily driver reports.
• Conduct pre- and post-vehicle inspections and site/tank inspections as applicable.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; report issues promptly.
• Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Propane Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you'll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B

• Current DOT medical certification

Pay Transparency:

The hourly rate ranges from $24.00 - $31.00, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates based on industry experience, CDL/Hazmat endorsements, and technical expertise.
