Job summary

Superior Plus Propane seeks a reliable Propane Bobtail Driver to ensure safe, timely delivery and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include loading/unloading propane, vehicle maintenance, and accurate reporting.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and teamwork with the Dispatcher. Qualified candidates hold CDL Class A or B, tanker and hazmat endorsements, and a current DOT medical certificate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred.
• CDL Class A or B license required.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Current DOT medical certificate and legal eligibility to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, load and deliver propane to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and safe operating practices.
• Monitor inventory and accurately print delivery tickets.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Coordinate routing with the Dispatcher and handle scheduling or safety issues.
• Overtime may be required as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

The hourly rate ranges from $27.00 – $29.00, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates based on industry experience, CDL/Hazmat endorsements, and technical expertise.
