Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Bobtail Driver to safely deliver propane to customers in California. You will load and unload, maintain vehicle cleanliness, use technology to track transfers and print tickets, and perform pre/post inspections.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, CDL Class A or B, and preferred tanker/Hazmat endorsements and DOT medical certification. We offer competitive hourly pay of 30.00–32.00, with potential overtime and equal opportunity employment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technology to monitor inventory, print tickets, and complete driver reports.
• Perform pre/post vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; report issues immediately.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

The hourly rate ranges from $30.00 – $32.00, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates based on industry experience, CDL/Hazmat endorsements, and technical expertise.
