Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Bobtail Driver to safely deliver propane to residential and commercial customers. You will load and unload, maintain the vehicle, and use technology to track deliveries and print tickets.

The role requires a CDL and Hazmat may be preferred, with DOT medical certification and a strong safety mindset. Expect full-time hours with seasonal variations and potential overtime, with a compensation range aligned to industry norms.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A or B license required.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.

• Legal authorization to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not provided.
• Delivery driver experience preferred (minimum 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Deliver, load and unload propane to and from customers and containers.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and safe driving practices.
• Use technology to monitor inventory, tank levels and print tickets.
• Record and submit daily driver reports as required.
• Perform pre/post vehicle inspections and report issues to Fleet Manager.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; report issues promptly.
• Work overtime as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Current DOT medical certification

We offer multiple work rotations based on operational needs and employee preference:

• 6 months on / 6 months off
• 7 months on / 5 months off
• 8 months on / 4 months off
• 9 months on / 3 months off

During your active season, you’ll play a critical role in delivering propane and supporting customers throughout high-demand winter months. Off-season periods provide extended time away from work between active assignments.

The hourly rate ranges from $29.00– $30.00, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates based on industry experience, CDL/Hazmat endorsements, and technicalexpertise.
