Job summary

Gleim is seeking a detail-oriented Proofreader for its Content Production team in Gainesville, FL. You will review study materials (books, videos, audio, and web content) for grammar, house style, and clarity, ensuring accuracy across formats.

The role involves cross-training in word processing, formatting documents in our HTML/XML-based system, and collaborating with editors and researchers to maintain high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Proofread Content materials including books, videos, audios, and the company website to ensure grammar, house style, and clarity.

Join our exciting, fast-paced Content Production team and assist with proofing, editing, and word processing of our study materials. Our Content Production Department crafts the products that the rest of the departments support. Content Production is dedicated to providing our customers with up-to-date study materials. Many of our team members are alumni from the University of Florida, Santa Fe College, and Embry Riddle.

Proofreaders will review Content materials that include virtual and hardcopy books, videos, audios, and the company website, to ensure the content follows house style consistently, is grammatically correct, and easy to understand.

Proofreaders often cross train in word processing and work in both areas when needed. Word Processors format, edit and produce documents using a proprietary word processing system based upon HTML/XML.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work on-site in Gainesville, Florida.
• Typing 40+ wpm.
• Excellent English and grammar knowledge.
• Possess good attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work in a library environment.

Desirable, but Not Required

• 4-year degree, preferably in English, Education or a related field, and/or equivalent experience.

References required. Drug testing and background check will be conducted upon a job offer. Gleim is a drug and smoke free workplace.
