The Job at a Glance: University Sports Publications, an industry leader in sports marketing and publishing, is seeking a talented editor/proofreader to join their art department team in their Central Islip location. We are always looking for individuals who are extremely outgoing, enthusiastic, and who can manage multiple priorities.

Compensation: We provide a professional environment with competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience and performance. Our compensation is $40,000 per year. Additionally, we offer employee benefits which include: employer contributed medical premiums for both employee and dependents, Health Savings Account (HSA), and paid time off.

What We Are Looking For/Elements of the Job:

  • Read and evaluate ad copy for grammatical and typographical errors.
  • Compare proofs against original copy to identify errors or omissions.
  • Evaluate the dimensions of ad elements such as images, text spacing and positioning to ensure they conform to set specifications.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree most preferably in English, journalism, or in a related field.
