Job summary

Advantage Technical in Houston is seeking an experienced Projects Analyst to support capital projects, manage SAP requisitions, procurement, purchase order management, and project cost allocations. You will troubleshoot SAP issues, coordinate with Procurement, Project Managers, vendors, and Accounts Payable, and provide SAP system training to project teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage SAP requisitions for materials and services supporting capital projects.
• Process high-volume requisitioning activities, handling 2,500–3,000 line items monthly.
• Manage purchase orders, change orders, invoice discrepancies, and vendor issues.
• Troubleshoot SAP purchasing and payment issues for timely resolution.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Project Managers, vendors, and Accounts Payable.
• Create and maintain SAP project networks, labor activities, work orders, and cost allocations.
• Support vendor setup, PO processing, and invoice payment workflows.
• Review project docs for accuracy, compliance, and cost allocation.
• Serve as SAP SME, providing system support and training to project teams.

Schedule: Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote | Monday-Friday, 8 Hours/Day

We are seeking an experienced Projects Analyst to support capital projects within a leading energy organization. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong experience in SAP requisitioning, procurement, purchase order management, and capital project support.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting project execution, managing high-volume requisitioning activities, troubleshooting SAP issues, and ensuring accurate procurement and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage SAP requisitions for materials and services supporting capital projects.
• Process high-volume requisitioning activities, working within a shared queue handling approximately 2,500-3,000 line items per month.
• Manage purchase orders, change orders, invoice discrepancies, and vendor-related issues.
• Troubleshoot SAP purchasing and payment issues to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Project Managers, vendors, and Accounts Payable to streamline purchasing activities.
• Create and maintain SAP project networks, labor activities, work orders, and project cost allocations.
• Support vendor setup, purchase order processing, and invoice payment workflows.
• Review project documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper cost allocation.
• Serve as an SAP subject matter expert, providing system support and training to project teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher.
• 5+ years of SAP experience supporting capital projects or maintenance operations.
• Hands-on SAP requisitioning experience is essential.
• Experience supporting capital projects, including procurement and purchase order processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot SAP purchase orders, vendor setup issues, and invoice discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in midstream oil and gas, pipelines, terminals, or other industrial capital projects.
• Familiarity with SAP Project Builder, project networks, and cost allocations.
• Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high-volume transactions accurately.
