Job description

H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm in Melville, NY seeks a Project Engineer to join our Water Resources team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Project involvement and/or supervision of water planning and design projects, water planning, design and construction engineering services.
  • Coordination with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm.
  • Preparation of construction drawings and specifications for public bid.
  • Relationship building and communication directly with clients in support and coordination of all project activities.
  • Responsible for the on-time, on budget, high quality client and technical delivery of all project requirements.
  • Production and scheduling; quality control; standardization; supervision of junior level staff.
  • Technology implementation; financial performance; cost proposals and project financial performance.
  • Experience with CBS (Chemical Bulk Storage) and Petroleum Bulk Storage (PBS).

Education and Qualifications
  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • 7 years of water resources or related consulting and design experience.
  • Strong client relations and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to mentor and supervise junior level staff.
  • Wastewater project design and construction experience a plus.
  • PE highly desired.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 annually.

The employment offer may deviate from this published range based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, specialty, knowledge, education, geography and/or related certifications - not related to an y applicant's characteristics protected by local, state or federal law .
