H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm in Melville, NY, seeks a Project Engineer to join our Water Resources team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Involvement in and supervision of water planning, design, and construction engineering projects.
  • Coordination with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm.
  • Preparation of construction drawings and specifications for public bidding.
  • Building relationships and communicating directly with clients to support and coordinate all project activities.
  • Ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery of all project requirements.
  • Production, scheduling, quality control, standardization, and supervision of junior staff.
  • Technology implementation, financial performance, and management of cost proposals and project finances.
  • Experience with CBS (Chemical Bulk Storage) and Petroleum Bulk Storage (PBS).
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of water resources or related consulting and design experience.
  • Strong client relations and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to mentor and supervise junior staff.
  • Wastewater project design and construction experience is a plus.
  • PE certification is highly desirable.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 annually. The actual offer may vary based on experience, specialty, knowledge, education, geography, and certifications, and is not related to applicant characteristics protected by law. The salary does not include other compensation or benefits.
