Qualifications

Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Surveyor - Texas RPLS with 5+ years of progressive experience to join our team in either our Austin or Dallas, TX office.

In this position, you will serve as a Project Surveyor working with our geospatial team, executing various public and private sector survey assignments. You will lead teams of technicians and field crews to complete large-scale public and private improvement projects, coordinating survey responsibilities with other discipline leads at WGI.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating with project managers, field crews, and technicians to establish responsibilities and priorities
  • Coordinate with project managers and discipline leads on scheduling and milestones
  • Perform boundary analysis for large-scale corridor, route, and land surveys
  • Proficiency in survey drafting/design software
  • Sign and seal surveys, maps, and related documents as the responsible professional
  • Perform quality control of survey field activities, calculations, and deliverables
  • Assist in the development and training of survey staff
Qualifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas
  • 5+ years of progressive experience
  • Strong technical skills with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, Civil3D
  • Advanced knowledge of land surveying principles, boundary surveying, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Subdivision Platting, legal research, etc.
  • Experience in boundary surveying, title research, project planning
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Trimble Business Center
