Qualifications

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Surveyor - Texas RPLS with 5+ years of progressive experience to join our team in our Austin or Dallas, TX office.

In this position, you will serve as Project Surveyor working with our geospatial team, executing various public and private sector survey assignments. You will direct teams of technicians and field crews to complete large-scale projects, coordinating survey responsibilities with other discipline leads at WGI.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with project managers, field crews, and technicians to establish responsibilities and priorities.
  • Coordinate with project managers and discipline leads on scheduling and milestones.
  • Perform boundary analysis for large-scale corridor, route, and land surveys.
  • Proficiency in survey drafting/design software.
  • Sign and seal surveys, maps, and related documents as the responsible professional.
  • Perform quality control of survey activities, calculations, and deliverables.
  • Assist in developing and training survey staff.
Qualifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience.
  • Strong technical skills, including MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, Civil3D.
  • Advanced knowledge of land surveying principles, boundary surveying, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Subdivision Platting, legal research.
  • Experience in boundary surveying, title research, project planning.
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Trimble Business Center.
