Overview




We are seeking an experienced Project Surveyor - Texas RPLS with 5+ years of progressive experience to join our team in our Austin or Dallas, TX office.

In this position you will serve as Project Surveyor working with our geospatial team, in the execution of various public and private sector survey assignments. You will direct teams of technicians and field crews to complete large-scale public and private works improvement projects, while coordinating survey responsibilities with other discipline leads at WGI.

Responsibilities




    Assist in the coordination with project managers, field crews and technicians to establish project responsibilities and priorities
  • Coordination with project managers and other discipline leads on scheduling objectives and project milestones
  • Perform boundary analysis for large-scale corridor, route, and land surveys
  • Proficiency in survey drafting/design software
  • Sign and seal surveys, maps, and survey related documents as the responsible professional in charge of survey and mapping projects
  • Perform in-process quality control of survey field activities, calculations, and project deliverables on assigned projects
  • Assist in the development and training of survey staff





Qualifications




  • Licensed as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas
  • 5+ years of progressive experience
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and Civil3D
  • Advanced knowledge of land surveying principles, boundary surveying, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Subdivision Platting, legal research, etc.
  • Experience in boundary surveying, title research, project planning, etc.
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Trimble Business Center
