Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a skilled Project Surveyor to join our team in Charlotte, NC. You will apply advanced surveying techniques while collaborating with senior survey and engineering professionals to support diverse projects.

Responsibilities include processing field survey data with MicroStation and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with GDOT standards, and delivering survey deliverables. A 5+ year background in land surveying and a path toward PLS licensure are desired.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certification in Surveying and eligibility to sit for licensure examinations.
• 5+ years’ experience in Land Surveying.
• Aspiration to obtain a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Georgia.
• Experience with mobile/terrestrial lidar data, UAV data, and hydrographic surveys.
• Familiarity with GPS networks and related data collection.
• Strong understanding of surveying principles and practical applications.
• Experience with GDOT standards and processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process daily field survey data using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD to create high-quality survey drawings.
• Collaborate with a Professional Land Surveyor to perform survey and design calculations adhering to standards.
• Ensure all work complies with client standards and documentation.
• Provide assistance to survey team members and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
• Interpret engineering documents and digital files for accurate survey application.
• Perform field data collection and reduction for hydrographic surveys, GPS networks, lidar data, and UAV data.
• Support the preparation of survey deliverables, including models and reports, using industry-standard software.
• Stay updated on surveying technologies and software to improve project outcomes.
• Carry out additional surveying-related tasks as required.
