Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a skilled Project Surveyor to join our team in Atlanta, GA. You will apply advanced surveying techniques while collaborating with senior professionals to contribute to diverse projects.

Expected qualifications include 5+ years in land surveying, certification in surveying eligible for GA licensure, and a drive to obtain a PLS license. Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, and UAV data is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Land Surveying.
• Certification in Surveying, eligible to sit for licensure in Georgia.
• Aspiration to obtain Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Georgia.
• Experience with lidar, UAV data and hydrographic surveys.
• Familiarity with GPS networks and data collection.
• Strong understanding of surveying principles and practical applications.
• Experience with GDOT standards and processes.
• GDOT software including MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, InRoads.
• Knowledge of hydrographic, GPS, lidar and UAV surveying methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in FAA Part 107 certification for UAV operation.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
• Capability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process daily field survey data using MicroStation and AutoCAD to create high-quality survey drawings.
• Collaborate with a Professional Land Surveyor for survey and design calculations per standards.
• Ensure all work complies with client standards, specs, and required documentation.
• Provide assistance to survey team members and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
• Interpret engineering documents and digital files for accurate survey application.
• Perform field data collection and reduction for hydrographic, GPS, lidar, and UAV surveys.
• Support preparation of survey deliverables, including models and reports.
• Stay updated on surveying technologies and software to improve outcomes.
• Carry out additional surveying-related tasks as required.
