Project Support Specialist- Government Contracts Experience a Plus!

$22 - $25 an hour, depending on experience

Join a leading furnishings and interiors firm that provides creative, high-end solutions for a diverse range of clients. They are looking for an organized and precise professional to serve as the cornerstone of their project team.

In this role, you will manage the lifecycle of orders, coordinate with vendors, and ensure the accuracy of project documentation. While this position involves some client interaction, the primary focus is on heavy data processing, order management, and operational support. They are looking for a reliable "utility player" who can multitask, think critically, and maintain extreme attention to detail. This is an excellent long‑term opportunity for someone who values stability and skill development.

What You'll Do:

  • Process and manage complex client orders from initial submission through final completion
  • Communicate daily with team members, clients, and vendors to ensure order accuracy
  • Create and update project quotes, bids, and technical specifications
  • Verify order totals, purchase order approvals, and credit requirements prior to processing
  • Coordinate installation schedules with internal warehouse teams and external subcontractors
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve shipping or billing discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain accurate digital records in operating system for all active projects
  • Update status reports to keep the team informed on project timelines and potential setbacks
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing operational processes and workflow efficiencies
  • Provide proactive administrative support to project managers and the broader client services team
  • Ensure all documentation meets strict departmental standards for quality and compliance

What They're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in administrative support or customer service
  • High level of comfort with heavy computer work and data entry
  • Experience working with government contracts a plus!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data processing
  • Ability to multitask and transition between different operational tasks seamlessly
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Capability to think independently and manage a busy, shifting workload without constant oversight
  • Prior experience in the interior design or contract furniture industry is a plus
