Job summary

Viking Electric is seeking a Project Support Specialist in Minneapolis, MN to support Project Managers with project tasks, client relations, and warehouse coordination. This full-time role offers daytime hours and a compensation range of $22.25–$32.25 per hour, dependent on experience and location.

You will create status reports, manage drawings and submittals, support completion reports, and coordinate with warehouse and DTS teams to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of customer-facing office experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, internet navigation, and Adobe.
• Two years post high school education or equivalent experience desirable.
• Authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Create and monitor preliminary status reports. Accurately provide shipment schedules to ensure project timelines are upheld.
• Request approval drawings from reps and assemble into Viking Electric drawings, operation and maintenance documents based on project requirements, and assemble submittal drawing packages.
• Assist in managing the percentage of completion reports and ensuring proper job closeout.
• Assist with Direct Through Stock process according to customers’ expectations. Work closely with DTS Specialists and warehouse associates to plan for material receipts, resolve problems, and coordinate deliveries.
• Monitor digital tools and software to ensure accuracy and upload necessary project documents.
• Preform customer returns and work with Project Managers to resolve defective and damaged product issues including freight claims.
