Job summary

Viking Electric is seeking a dedicated Project Support Specialist to assist Project Managers with defined project tasks. You will build and maintain relationships with external customers, representatives, and vendors, providing high levels of service and accurate shipment schedules to uphold timelines.

Responsibilities include preparing drawings, submittal packages, and completion reports; coordinating stock deliveries; and ensuring project documentation is uploaded and accessible.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum two years of office experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, internet navigation, and Adobe.
• Two years post high school education or equivalent experience desirable.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Create and monitor preliminary status reports. Accurately provide shipment schedules to ensure project timelines are upheld.
• Request approval drawings from reps and/or compile into Viking Electric drawings, operation and maintenance documents based on project requirements, and assemble submittal drawing packages.
• Assist in managing the percentage of completion reports and ensuring proper job closeout.
• Assist with Direct Through Stock process according to customers’ expectations. Work closely with DTS Specialists and warehouse associates to plan for material receipts, resolve problems, and coordinate deliveries.
• Monitor digital tools and software to ensure accuracy and upload necessary project documents.
• Perform customer returns and work with Project Managers to resolve defective and damaged product issues including freight claims.

Total Compensation: $23.00 - $30.00 hourly wage
