Job summary

Perini Management Services Inc. in San Juan, PR, seeks a Project Superintendent for the USCG Sector San Juan Rebuild project. You will oversee construction to ensure design, budget, and schedule adherence on a large federal project.

The role requires relocation to the project site, 10+ years in similar roles on medium-to-large projects, OSHA 30, and experience with federal government clients. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a construction superintendent role on large projects.
• Experience with civil/site work and underground utilities preferred.
• OSHA 30 training completed.
• Knowledge of US construction methods and standards.
• Must relocate to the project site.
• Experience with Federal Government clients, such as USCG, preferred.
• U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction effort to ensure project is built per design, budget, and schedule.
• Plan and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination).
• Coordinate with crafts and departments; resolve productivity and interface issues.
• Provide technical assistance, interpret drawings and advise on methods.
• Assist in development of project procedures and working documents.
• Monitor schedule progress daily, weekly, monthly.
• Assist with look-ahead schedules and weekly reviews.
• Implement Site Specific Safety Plan.
• Participate in QC program with QC Manager.
• Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

As a Desing-Build Construction Project Superintendent at Perini Management Services, reporting to the Project Manager you will have the opportunity to:

• Supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
• Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating, and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).
• Plan and supervise Subcontractor and/or craft activities by determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.
• Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.
• Identify and assist in resolving construction problems such as lack of productivity, work interfaces, conflicts in drawings & site conditions, etc.
• Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
• Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
• Monitor and assist with the update schedule progress (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
• Assist with the development of the look ahead schedules and review with construction team / Subcontractors weekly.
• Implement Site Specific Safety Plan.
• Participate in the Quality Control program in coordination with the QC Manager.
• Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Requirements:

• 10+ plus years of work experience in a construction Superintendent role on medium-to-large sized projects with values of Approx. $40+ Million.
• Work experience including supervisory positions overseeing significant civil/site work, underground utility installations or building construction preferred.
• Completed OSHA 30 training with documented annual safety training preferred.
• Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
• Temporary relocation to project required.
• Experience with Federal Government clients, such as USCG, preferred.
• Resume shall indicate area of expertise (e.g. civil, structural, architectural, etc.).
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
