Job summary

MOREgroup is seeking a motivated Project Specifier to join our architectural team in a hybrid role. You will produce, edit, and coordinate technical specifications from design through construction, ensuring alignment with firm standards and project requirements while collaborating with project architects, consultants, and design technology teams.

This position emphasizes accuracy, ongoing learning, and cross-disciplinary teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is strongly preferred.
• Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) and Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) certifications are a plus.
• 5 - 10 years of experience within an architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) environment or dedicated specifications role preferred.
• Experience using SpecLink or similar specifications software preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and consistency in documentation and project deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Draft and coordinate project specifications with teams.
• Mentor project leadership in the development of individual project specifications.
• Attend client and consultant meetings focused on specifications.
• Perform quality control reviews of specs across project phases.
• Research innovative industry systems and products to ensure up-to-date documentation.
• Apply firm master specification content consistently and provide feedback for updates.
• Coordinate with Digital Practice to link project models and specifications.
