Job summary

The University of Denver is seeking a Project Specialist to join University Relations in Denver, CO. The role focuses on managing cross-functional projects from intake to completion and supporting processes across the division, reporting to the Strategic Initiatives Support Manager.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience managing multiple projects.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in project management, marketing, communications or related field; associate degree with relevant experience encouraged.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent cross-functional projects from intake to completion.
• Triage project requests through the UR project management system.
• Maintain organized project records, status reports, and documentation.
• Ensure UR staff across units are informed and involved as needed.
• Identify risks early and communicate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Develop and refine project management processes, templates, and workflows.
• Use AI tools responsibly with human review for accuracy and brand voice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
