Job summary

ABB is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead data center projects onsite in the United States. The role focuses on executing project plans, coordinating internal and external teams, and ensuring delivery within time and budget constraints.

You will drive risk management, resource planning, and effective communication with technical and executive stakeholders across project lifecycle. Travel up to 10-20% is expected, with an emphasis on onsite collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 8 years experience managing complex technical and/or system implementation projects.
  • Direct experience in data centers, critical facilities, or heavy industrial power distribution environments with a strong understanding of electrical power systems.
  • Proven track record managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholders for high value large scale projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
  • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
  • Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
