Project Specialist conducts simple, short duration projects led by line of business management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leads the planning and coordinating of project scheduling, budgeting, and administrative tasks tied to project(s)
Develops presentations along with generating reports
Serves as a main point of contact between the client and various teams by setting times and dates for meetings to keep on schedule, and relaying any issues with timelines, budgets, etc.
Shares relevant documentation and reports
Acts as the main point of contact for various working groups
Retains advanced knowledge of project scopes, timeframes, financials, and outcomes
Ensures the availability of resources and equipment
Understands formal escalation and review processes, communicating directly with management if needed
Provides information and support to team, project managers, and/or business leaders
Handles thorough project documentation, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
May assist with complex projects when necessary
Offers advice and guidance to less experienced specialists, assisting in the development of necessary skills and contributing to continuous improvement
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Six (6) years of related experience
Two (2) years of experience in administrative and/or project team support
Preferences
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Demonstrated experience working in all stages of a project and successful completion
Skills and Competencies
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical work to management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Strong knowledge of project management terminologies and methods
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivation
