Job summary

Muth Electric Inc is seeking a Project Engineer to develop and maintain project submittals, build schedules, and forecast labor needs across Lincoln, NE and Omaha-area projects.

You will coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and design teams to align procurement milestones with construction schedules, ensuring timely project delivery and effective integration of schedule and submittal processes.

Qualifications

• Experience using project scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project).
• Knowledge of construction processes and dependencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate delays.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Attention to detail in schedules and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain submittal logs and tracking systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and design teams for shop data and drawings.
• Review schedules to align submittals with procurement milestones.
• Support project manager with schedule creation, maintenance, and updates.
• Sequence construction activities and identify critical path items.
• Develop detailed CPM or milestone schedules in P6 or MS Project.
• Ensure schedule includes long lead and critical path items.
• Assist with project submittals and change orders tracking.
