Job summary

Muth Electric Inc is seeking a Project Engineer to develop and maintain project submittals, create and manage schedules, and align engineering, procurement, and field activities with milestones on a Lincoln, Nebraska project.

You will coordinate with vendors, design teams, and field staff to ensure timely submissions, monitor critical path tasks, and help forecast delays. The role requires strong scheduling software skills and construction knowledge in a fast-paced project environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project for scheduling.
• Understanding of construction processes and sequencing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse teams.
• Ability to perform complex schedule analyses and identify delays.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail in schedules and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain submittal logs and tracking systems
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and design teams to collect and submit data
• Review schedules to align submittals with milestones
• Support PM in creating and updating schedules
• Sequence construction activities and identify critical path items
• Develop detailed milestone schedules in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
• Ensure schedule includes long lead and critical path items
• Assist with submittals and change orders during procurement
• Track long lead materials and release them on time
• Assemble and track submitted change orders, revising purchases
