Job summary

The US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a Project Scheduler to support civil works programs by developing integrated schedules using PROMIS/P2 and Primavera. You will coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment of scope, schedule, and budget across multiple phases.

Responsibilities include data collection, CPM analyses, and advising project managers on schedule risks, mitigation strategies, and cost integration. Some travel may be required and a background suitability review is conducted.

Duties
  • Prepare documentation of scope, schedule, and budget expectations and development of a comprehensive management plan that integrates all project requirements into a coordinated and cohesive response.
  • Document project plans in the Corps of Engineers Project Management System (P2).
  • Collect project execution data from the project delivery team.
  • Assist Project Manager and PDTs in understanding and resolving variations in cost or schedule performance using earned value reports and techniques.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: developing, maintaining, and analyzing complex, multi-phase master project schedules for large-scale Civil Works projects using enterprise scheduling software (e.g., Program and Project Management Information System (PROMIS, also known as "P2"), Program Delivery Management (PDM), Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) and Primavera P6, etc.; performing Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis to evaluate schedule progression, identify variances, and forecast potential delays; integrating resourcing loading and cost data into schedules to support project forecasting analysis; and advising project managers and senior stakeholders on schedule impacts, mitigation strategies, and time extension requests. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
