  • This is a Financial Management Level 1 Certified position. Incumbent must comply with requirements of the certification program and obtain the certification within 2 years from date of hire.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Assisting with utilizing an automated system to review employees time and attendance, and experience applying regulations and policies to daily tasks. OR Education: One year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as accounting, finance, or business administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond one year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages.
GS-08 Level
Specialized Experience: One one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes resolving timekeeping and payroll issues; reviewing and interpreting a wide range of timekeeping and payroll laws, policies, regulations, directives; utilizing automated payroll systems such as Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS) and the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) automated time and attendance. OR Education: One and a half years of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as accounting, finance, or business administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
