Specialized Experience

One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Determining methods for maintaining organizational policies or work operations; 2) Conducting operational planning and developing course of action on operation system; 3) Forecasting resource requirements for security event planning and execution; 4) Evaluating regulatory requirements for agency compliance and providing senior leaders briefs or reports; and 5) Identifying and evaluating mission risk and developing mitigation strategies for senior leadership approval. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).

Time in Grade Requirement

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
