Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a Project Scheduler.
SUMMARY
The Project Scheduler supports Project Management by providing detailed project schedules covering the entire project cycle from development to operations. Responsibilities include developing project templates, critical path analysis, alternative schedules, and managing multiple schedules across various projects and stages. The scheduler works closely with the project team on project status, identifying improvements, delays, and areas needing attention, as well as supporting project setup, cost control, change order tracking, and reporting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop logically linked schedules from proposal documents, contract documents, and estimate sheets.
- Maintain master schedules for each project, evaluate actual progress, and provide regular updates.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers regarding work impact and problem resolution.
- Assist in developing work schedules for estimating prior to proposals, illustrating work sequences and contract timelines.
- Incorporate resource and cost loading data into schedules as needed.
- Evaluate critical and near-critical path activity sequences.
- Consult with project team members to ensure proper planning before work begins.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders on planning, scheduling, and reporting.
- Identify training needs for scheduling software and provide training; stay current with software advancements.
- Support project planning and tracking efforts.
- Update project schedules and overall plans.
- Gather and analyze data for project reviews and meetings.
- Monitor and report project performance against plans.

Knowledge, Skills & Education
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; with two years of related experience in project scheduling, especially in industrial, construction, or power generation projects. International experience is a plus.
- Strong reading, writing, and interpretative skills for technical and business documents.
- Mathematical proficiency including probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to analyze problems, interpret technical instructions, and handle multiple variables.
- Proficiency in resource loading scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, along with other MS Office tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
