responsibilities:
Duties
- Organize, implement, and maintain a scheduling management system for projects.
- Set up tasks and subtasks to ensure project requirements are met.
- Log project timelines and maintain the P6 database with task statuses.
- Input all new project information into the P6 system.
- Generate scheduled reports for contract coordination and status updates.
- Collaborate with project staff and stakeholders to coordinate assignments.
- Design and develop detailed project schedules.
- Define scopes of work with teams and contractors to update schedules.
- Identify schedule variances and deviations from the original plan.
- Evaluate schedule progress and flag problem areas.
- Analyze critical paths and constraints; suggest alternate work paths.
- Develop and update weekly schedules with field staff and managers.
- Support change management processes and procedures.
- Help produce periodic status reports for management updates.
- Conduct recovery analysis for delayed schedules.
- Interact regularly with project teams, contractors, cost engineers, and leadership.
SkillsMandatory Skills- Effective interaction and communication with teams and stakeholders.
- Active participation in project/department meetings and discussions.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 (layouts, activity codes, resources, group/sort, reporting).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Beneficial Skills- PMP or other PMI certifications (beneficial but not required).
- PSP, CST, or other AACEI certifications (beneficial but not required).
- Knowledge of Schedule Quality practices in P6.
- Familiarity with Project Gating procedures.
- Experience with Gas & Electric Distribution/Transmission projects.
Education- Minimum: High School Diploma.
- Preferred: Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's Degree (factored into selection).
Certifications & Licenses: PMP certification (preferred).
