Job description

Our client is expanding its project team to support a major, technically complex construction program in West Texas. This is an opportunity to take ownership of scheduling on a large-scale build where field execution, trade coordination, procurement, and milestone management all need to move in sync. The Project Scheduler will work directly with project and field leadership, providing the schedule intelligence needed to anticipate challenges, protect key dates, and keep a fast-moving project on track.

This Role Offers:
  • Competitive compensation with an annual performance-based bonus opportunity.
  • Choice of a company vehicle or vehicle allowance, plus a company fuel card.
  • Per diem support for eligible team members working in the project area.
  • High-impact role with direct interaction across project management and field leadership.
  • Hands-on environment where scheduling insights directly influence project execution and decision-making.
Focus:
  • Own and maintain the construction schedule, keeping it aligned with field progress, procurement activities, and key project milestones.
  • Build logic-driven schedules using Critical Path Method principles, including activity relationships, sequencing, constraints, and major delivery dates.
  • Partner with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to establish realistic durations, dependencies, and execution plans.
  • Monitor schedule performance, critical activities, float, milestone movement, and emerging risks, providing project leadership with timely visibility.
  • Develop recovery strategies and revised sequencing plans when activities begin trending behind schedule.
  • Coordinate scheduling across major construction workstreams, including sitework, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and commissioning activities.
  • Incorporate procurement, fabrication, equipment delivery, installation, startup, and turnover requirements into overall project planning.
  • Prepare look-ahead plans, progress updates, milestone reporting, and schedule analysis to support project meetings and leadership decisions.
Skill Set:
  • 3 or more years of construction scheduling, project controls, project management, or closely related construction experience preferred.
  • A dedicated Project Scheduler background is preferred. Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with substantial hands-on scheduling experience and strong scheduling resumes will also be considered.
  • Experience supporting large or technically complex commercial, industrial, advanced manufacturing, mission critical, or similar construction programs is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 is preferred, with Microsoft Project or comparable scheduling software experience also valued.
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method scheduling, construction sequencing, dependencies, schedule risk, and recovery planning.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, project documentation, and field execution requirements.
  • Knowledge of subcontractor coordination, procurement, field operations, and mechanical, electrical, controls, startup, or commissioning activities is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard project management tools.
