Job description

Location: Onsite in Chicago, IL

Salary Range: 110-120k base + 20-30% Bonus depending on experience

Benefits: Medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k, paid time off

Working hand in hand with the project management team, you will own the schedules behind a portfolio of large construction projects: building detailed programs, running critical path and earned value analysis, reporting variances, and turning performance data into insight.

What You Will Do
  • Build and maintain schedules across the portfolio, defining logic, milestones, durations, constraints, and the critical path.
  • Act as the internal scheduling expert, owning baselines, version control, and the quality checks that keep programs accurate.
  • Spot schedule risks early, shape mitigations, and assess the impact of change orders and delays, supporting claims analysis where needed.
  • Deliver earned value analysis, progress reporting, and ad hoc reports, drawing on AI tools where they add value.
  • Review contractor and subcontractor schedules, run schedule review meetings, and perform QA/QC against program goals.
  • Coordinate across departments and work directly with project managers to manage the update cycle and secure stakeholder buy-in.
What You Will Bring
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, ideally construction management or engineering.
  • Seven or more years in construction, with large-scale project exposure and experience on fast-turnaround work.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 or Oracle Primavera Cloud skills and deep CPM expertise, spanning critical path analysis, integrated cost and schedule planning, and performance reporting.
  • The ability to make live schedule changes in interactive planning sessions, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication and analytical ability.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5 percent of the time, and eligibility to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
Nice to Have
  • Network schedule development using techniques such as resource loading, plus WBS development and cost-schedule change control.
  • A background in solar, wind, or thermal construction, or utility experience across transmission, distribution, or substations.
