Role Description The Project Safety Manager – Mission Critical is a full-time, on-site role based in Wisconsin, United States. This role is responsible for leading safety efforts on mission-critical industrial construction projects, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site safety audits and inspections, facilitating safety meetings and training, and monitoring adherence to behavior-based safety (BBS) practices. The Project Safety Manager will investigate incidents and near misses, develop corrective and preventive action plans, and maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting. This role collaborates closely with project management, field leadership, and craft professionals to proactively identify risks, implement safety controls, and support a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety performance.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety for heavy industrial or construction environments.
  • Experience delivering Safety Training and implementing Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs on complex project sites.
  • Proficiency in Accident Investigation, root-cause analysis, and development of corrective actions.

  • Experience working on mission-critical or industrial construction projects (e.g., data centers, power, manufacturing) is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, develop safety procedures, and manage safety documentation and reporting systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and field experience.
  • Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, ASP, SMP) required.
