Role Overview

The Field Safety Specialist is responsible for administering the job site safety program to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Reporting to a Safety Manager or Senior Safety Manager, this role requires advanced safety knowledge to support technical safety programs and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits in the field, engaging with crews and communicating with project management.
2. Identify, document, and resolve hazardous conditions.
3. Lead injury investigations and incident analysis.
4. Participate in pre-task planning and safety meetings.
5. Review project look-aheads for training and high-risk activities.
6. Ensure compliance with procedures like LOTO and energization protocols.
7. Review safety procedures and understand project diagrams and NFPA 70E guidelines.
8. Compile safety data and prepare reports per regulations.
9. Issue entry permits and assist in emergency rescues.
10. Conduct safety training and orientations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic safety audit tools.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree, OSHA 30, STS-C or CHST, CPR/First Aid, and 4+ years of construction safety experience.

Additional Details

• Travel up to 100%.
• Work primarily indoors with environmental considerations; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
