Project Safety Coordinator – Data Center

About The Role

We are seeking a Project Safety Coordinator with strong people skills and a passion for ensuring jobsite safety in a data center construction environment. This position plays a critical on-site role, focusing not just on compliance — but on the wellbeing of the technicians and teams working in the field.

You’ll report to the Safety Manager, but your main responsibility is supporting the safety and success of the crews on-site. If you’re someone who genuinely cares about people and believes that safety is about relationships — not just rules — we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site safety presence, ensuring all work is performed safely and meets OSHA and project standards
• Perform regular site safety walks and identify/correct potential hazards
• Lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, and orientations for all new workers
• Monitor jobsite conditions and advocate for safe practices
• Engage directly with field technicians to understand their needs and ensure they feel supported
• Communicate safety concerns and solutions with leadership and the Safety Manager
• Document inspections, incidents, and safety conversations professionally and accurately
• Assist with incident investigations and provide input on corrective actions

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a safety-related role on construction projects (data center experience is a plus)
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and jobsite safety best practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — approachable and respectful with field crews
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• First Aid/CPR certification a plus
• Experience in mission-critical environments or large-scale construction projects is helpful
