Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager I to oversee owner-side quality for capital projects. The role focuses on surveillance of contractor and supplier activities, reviewing quality docs, and reporting to the project quality lead.

You will alternate between field and documentation work, witnessing hold points, reviewing inspection records, and tracking audit findings toward closure. Travel to project sites is required with per diem as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• Certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
• Comfortable reading specifications, procedures, and inspection records and finding gaps.
• Clear written reporting.
• Organized under document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications.
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness and compliance.
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database.
• Witness hold and witness points and document the results.
• Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager.
