A Snapshot Of Your Day (position Overview)

Siemens Energy is seeking a Project Procurement Manager (PPM) to join our Aero Derivative Gas Turbine business! In this role, you’ll integrate Procurement into project teams from the bid phase through execution, leading all related activities to drive cost competitiveness and quality. You'll support the New Unit Package team across the project lifecycle, applying standard tools and methods to meet customer requirements and improve responsiveness!

How You’ll Make An Impact (responsibilities)

  • Engage early in the sales phase to analyze project planning and ensure Procurement involvement from the beginning.
  • Actively participate in project and sales meetings, offering supply market insights, preferred supplier options, and innovation to optimize supplier selection and internal processes.
  • Serve as the key liaison between project teams and both operational and strategic Procurement, advising on Procurement planning, target costing, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Analyze scope of supply and contractual obligations, while understanding customer functional requirements to align sourcing strategy accordingly.
  • Identify Procurement-related risks, opportunities, and potential claims throughout the project lifecycle to mitigate risks and improve value.
  • Support bid preparation with accurate cost data (Total Cost of Ownership), ensure supplier obligations align with customer contracts, and proactively track supplier delivery performance.


What You Bring (requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 5 to 8 years relevant work experience in Project Management & Procurement
  • Solid track record of delivering increased value and significant cost savings for partners and customers through strategic sourcing and supplier analysis.
  • Self-motivated and solutions oriented, with a mentality for challenging the status quo while building strong, collaborative relationships across all partner levels.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to influence and challenge cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
  • Skilled in market intelligence gathering and presenting commercial insights to internal decision-makers; experienced in evaluating bid packages and driving supplier performance.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
