Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh seeks a Project Procurement Specialist to lead end-to-end procurement for large-scale EPC projects, aligning PPP with schedules, engineering deliverables, and milestones. You will collaborate across project controls, engineering, and finance to ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery of critical equipment and services.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement within project environments, hands-on supplier quality experience, and proficiency with SAP/Oracle and Primavera

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; 5–8 years may substitute for degree.
• 5+ years of supply chain or procurement experience in EPC/grid/utility industries.
• Experience managing large-scale procurement plans for complex projects.
• Experience with supplier quality processes (ITPs, FAT/SAT, NCR/SNCRP).
• Proficiency with SAP or Oracle, Primavera P6 or MS Project, and analytics tools like Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Project Procurement Plans (PPP) aligned with project schedules and milestones.
• Support RFI and RFQ activities and evaluation with cross-functional teams.
• Identify and mitigate supply, logistics, capacity, quality, and schedule risks.
• Sourcing, contracting, supplier communication, and commercial negotiations for project materials/services.
• Execute expediting, monitor supplier milestones, and drive recovery plans for On-Time Delivery.
• Coordinate supplier quality activities, including ITPs, FAT/SAT, NCR/SNCRP closures.
• Publish procurement dashboards and monitor project performance metrics.
