Job summary

Gavial Engineering & Manufacturing, Inc. located in Santa Maria, CA, seeks a Project Planner to support production through planning, BOM creation and work order packaging. You will work with project management, purchasing and QA to ensure timely procurement and accurate documentation.

The role involves generating material requests, establishing production methods, and managing work orders and data packages for new builds, refurbishments and repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or technical training in logistics, supply chain or manufacturing is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in production and/or material planning in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning efficient and timely procurement of materials for production requirements.
• Create bills of materials and production methods; build work order packages.
• Generate material requests based on project demand and BOMs.
• Coordinate with purchasing to translate material requests into purchase orders.
• Track shipments and resolve delays; communicate status to project management.
• Create and release work orders and production methods per quotes and requirements.
• Maintain latest configuration and effectivity in work order packages; resolve discrepancies.
