Job summary

Atlas Copco Mafi-Trench Company LLC, located in Santa Maria, CA, is seeking a Production Planner to support on-time delivery of finished goods. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and coordinating shop resources across the manufacturing facility of over 160 skilled technicians, welders, and machinists.

The ideal candidate has ERP/MRP and SAP experience, strong relationship-building skills, and a familiarity with engineering drawings and PLM tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, SAP preferred.
• Strong ability to build relationships across shop floor to management.
• Proficient reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Able to shift from detailed work to urgent execution when needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan production orders and routings to support the master production schedule.
• Monitor material status and labor progress across projects.
• Process WIP drawing revisions and BOM changes.
• Serve as front-line shop floor support for projects and expediting.
• Identify and resolve unplanned issues and implement timely improvements.
