Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Project Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and manage integrated production and service delivery systems at our site. You will drive performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence and cost control throughout the product lifecycle.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams on complex projects, delivering process improvements, time standards, and data-driven metrics while aligning with Lean and global engineering strategies.

Qualifications

• Understanding and application of a broad range of manufacturing and industrial engineering tools (e.g. work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research).
• Understanding of Jabil’s global strategies and site direction.
• Strong financial and analytical ability; capable of driving cost reduction and continuous improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate projects that eliminate waste using standard Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering processes.
• Verify time standards prepared by the Engineering Team and report key metrics.
• Drive process mapping activities and standardization of SAP/MES configurations.
• Support Lean initiatives and mentor engineering staff across the site.
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and safety requirements.

The Project ME will adopt as its goals profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and the continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles.What will you do?Project leader – lead and implement projects that will eliminate waste, through the standard Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering process. This will include but is not limited to: Complex Process Simulation, Operations Research and Business Model Cost AnalysisVerify Time standards prepared within the Engineering TeamUpdate and report key Engineering metrics for assigned customer or areaDrive key process mapping activities within the assigned customer or areaDrive the standardization SAP and Manufacturing Execution System configurationAssist on preparing quotes for proposed projects within the assigned customer or areaDrive process related activities for New Product Introduction.Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Engineering teamSupport and/or maintain all lower-level Engineering essential duties and responsibilitiesInsure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional and site directionSupport the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement through the organizationComply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.Manages cross functional teams to identify, develop, test and implement world class manufacturing equipment, systems, tools, procedures and processes.Ensures that current and future processes and manufacturing systems meet and/or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.Reviews and promotes improvement in customer metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.Acts as a liaison for Operations and BU in Jabil for program transfers including providing input into transfer plans and timelines, supporting data, technology, process and procedural requirements as well as knowledge transfer activities and participating in launch activities as needed.Provides support and technical assistance to new facility and/or Workcell startups.Provides mentoring and technical assistance to Jabil site Engineering staff.Leads and coordinates the standardization of systems, procedures and practices across all the Jabil workcells.Ensures that current and future quality and manufacturing systems meet and/or exceed customer and regulatory requirement.Design of optimized human interfaces for Top Level Assembly in the following areas:Raw material delivery process, storage and line feed systems.Product flow and online material handling systems.WIP management, sizing and buffer storage systems.Ergonomic workstation design and layout.Process optimization.Layout of the workcell and/or complete Jabil plants.5S housekeeping techniques.Develop/Sustain/Improve all assembly processes.Time study analysis.Own and drive yield improvement programs.Box build quote and products.Systems support (e.g. SAP, MES …)Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD skills required.
