Job summary

Jabil is seeking an experienced engineering leader to provide strategic and operational direction for the Mikros Technologies Engineering organization. You will guide a multidisciplinary team through concept to commercialization while ensuring long-term performance of released products.

You will shape engineering processes, standards, and capabilities to drive innovation, quality, and cost efficiency across hardware programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field is required.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Technology Management, or Business preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive engineering experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
  • Experience leading hardware manufacturing, technology, defense, or industrial environments; materials/metallurgy experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex programs and organizational results.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Mikros Technologies Engineering organization.
  • Lead engineering managers, technical leads, and staff to build a high-performing team.
  • Oversee product lifecycle including concept through prototype, production, and sustainment.
  • Standardize processes, drive continuous improvement, and monitor KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Factory Enablement, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sales.
  • Manage departmental budgets and capital expenditure plans; support technology investments.
  • Communicate performance, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership.

organizational growth.Engineering ManagementLead, mentor, and develop engineering managers, technical leads, and engineering staff.Build and maintain a high-performing engineering organization focused on collaboration, accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, retention, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.Ensure effective allocation of engineering resources across programs and projects.Product & Program ExecutionOversee engineering support throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through prototype, production and sustainment.Ensure engineering deliverables meet technical, schedule, cost, quality, and customer requirements.Collaborate with Program Management to identify and mitigate technical and execution risks.Support proposal development, customer engagements, and technical reviews as needed.Operational ExcellenceEstablish and standardize engineering processes, procedures, and best practices.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, innovation, and cost reduction.Develop and monitor key engineering performance indicators and implement corrective actions when necessary.Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with manufacturing, operations, quality, supply chain, and business development teams to achieve organizational objectives.Build strong relationships with customers and external stakeholders.Communicate engineering performance, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership.Financial ManagementDevelop and manage departmental budgets and capital expenditure plans.Monitor engineering costs and resource utilization.Support business cases for investments in technology, equipment, and personnel.How will you get here?Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required.Master's degree in Engineering, Technology Management, or Business Administration preferred.Minimum 10 years of progressive engineering experience.Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.Experience leading engineering organizations within hardware manufacturing, technology, defense, or industrial environments, with materials or metallurgy experience preferred.Proven track record
