Job summary

TalentSphere in Elgin, IL is seeking a hands‑on Commercial Roofing Project Manager / Estimator to own projects from bid to completion. You will prepare estimates, review drawings, and coordinate with field crews and customers while managing schedules and budgets.

The role offers a base salary in the $90k–$100k range plus commission, a company vehicle or allowance, profit sharing and benefits. This is a growth‑oriented position with direct impact on profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial roofing experience in project management, estimating, or both.
• Knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, EPDM, BUR, modified bitumen, metal).
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications and bid documents.
• Experience preparing estimates and managing commercial roofing projects.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with EDGE, Bluebeam or PlanSwift is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.

• Review drawings, specifications and project scopes to identify material, labor and equipment requirements.
• Manage awarded projects from preconstruction through completion, including schedules, budgets and production.
• Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, suppliers and customers to keep projects moving.
• Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs, address issues as they arise and help protect job profitability.
• Maintain relationships with general contractors, building owners and existing customers.

Commercial Roofing Project Manager / Estimator

Location: Elgin, IL
Salary: $90,000–$100,000+ Base + Commission + Vehicle + Profit Sharing + Benefits

An established commercial roofing contractor in Elgin is looking for a Project Manager / Estimator who can take ownership of projects from the initial bid through final completion.

The company has a growing backlog of commercial and industrial work and is looking for someone who understands both sides of the business: putting together a competitive estimate and making sure the project is delivered successfully.

This is a hands‑on role with the opportunity to manage your own projects, build relationships with customers and have a direct impact on the company's continued growth.

What You'll Be Doing
