Job summary

TalentSphere is seeking a Commercial Roofing Project Manager to lead a major Kenosha, WI project and eventually expand to the Greater Chicago market. The role requires hands-on leadership, scheduling, safety and coordination with crews, subcontractors and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years managing commercial roofing projects.
• Strong knowledge of BUR, EPDM, modified bitumen, TPO, PVC and metal roofing systems.
• Waterproofing experience is desirable.
• Experience managing mid- to large-scale commercial roofing projects.
• Strong field leadership and crew coordination experience.
• Solid understanding of scheduling, production, safety and QA/QC.
• Ability to communicate effectively with field teams, clients and general contractors.
• Organized, accountable and comfortable taking ownership of complex projects.
• Must be able to commute to Kenosha, WI for 12–18 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Kenosha project from mobilization through completion and closeout.
• Coordinate Superintendents, field crews, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain project schedules and production targets.
• Monitor jobsite safety, quality and manufacturer requirements.
• Coordinate materials, equipment and project logistics.
• Manage change orders and assist with job costing and cost control.
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget.
• Maintain communication with clients, general contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure QA/QC standards are maintained throughout the project.
• Manage project documentation, turnover and closeout.

The Opportunity

An established commercial roofing contractor in the Northwest Chicago suburbs is looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Project Manager to join its team.

This is a permanent position with the company; however, the successful candidate will initially take responsibility for a major commercial roofing project in Kenosha, Wisconsin, expected to run approximately 12–18 months.

Candidates must be comfortable commuting to Kenosha regularly throughout the project. Once completed, the position will transition to projects throughout the Greater Chicago market.

This is a field and production-focused PM role for someone who understands commercial roofing, enjoys being close to the work and knows how to keep crews, schedules, budgets and clients moving in the right direction.

What You'll Be Doing
