The Utility Project Manager supports electrical utility capital projects including substation upgrades, transmission line upgrades, hydro projects, Smart Grids, environmental compliance work, and gas projects. We are hiring multiple Project Managers to join our team in the following locations:

• Rochester, NY
• Binghamton, NY
• Augusta, ME
• Orange, CT

How will you contribute to the team?

1. Manage and lead the AtkinsRéalis project team daily.
2. Serve as the primary contact for clients, contractors, and consultants at the project level.
3. Create and revise project execution plans to meet evolving needs.
4. Oversee daily operations within the project scope.
5. Promote effective communication among project stakeholders.
6. Implement management systems supporting quality, safety, risk, change control, and performance.
7. Integrate safety early into the design process.
8. Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
9. Review team deliverables before client submission.
10. Prepare for project reviews and quality assurance procedures.
11. Minimize project risks and exposures.
12. Ensure project documents are complete and properly stored.
13. Track and report team hours and expenses weekly.
14. Assist in project forecasting and budgeting.
15. Manage invoicing, receivables, and billing issues.
16. Review and manage consultant invoices and follow up on unpaid invoices.
17. Develop project financial forecasts and summaries.
18. Review project status reports and financial reports for client updates.
19. Support revenue forecasting, profitability, and utilization metrics.
20. Handle legal document filing and other duties as assigned.

What will you contribute?

• 5+ years of utility project management experience; additional years may qualify for higher levels.
• Bachelor’s degree; Engineering or MBA preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification preferred.
• Optional: Professional Engineering license.
• Strong understanding of project management, design & construction, CPM scheduling, cost modeling, and risk analysis.
• Familiarity with Primavera, Expedition/Prolong, Epoch, and CATO software.
• Proficiency with IT tools including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, and MS Project.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
