Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

The Senior Area Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage project performance and report directly to the General Manager on all project matters. Create a vision of project success through continuous improvement initiatives; empower and motivate Field Supervisors to achieve this vision. The Senior Area Manager represents Heath Consultants in meetings and communications with customers. Span of control will be no more than 5 Area Managers or by geographic area.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A REMOTE ROLE WITH 50-70% TRAVEL EXPECTED TO PROJECT SITES AND DISTRICT OFFICES.

IDEALLY TARGETING CANDIDATES BASED OUT OF NV, OR, OR AZ, BUT OPEN TO OTHER AREAS IN THE WESTERN UNITED STATES.

Responsibilities
  • The Senior Area Manager leads by example and supports Area Managers and Field Supervisors through direct management to ensure expectations are exceeded.
  • Set and communicate daily goals and expectations.
  • Promote engagement of team members.
  • Oversee safety and quality standards via monthly reviews and KPIs within Power BI.
  • Review investigations, root cause analyses, and oversee corrective actions.
  • Champion service standards and specifications.
  • Analyze daily project performance and act accordingly.
  • Challenge the status quo and promote proactive problem-solving.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Manager.
Support
  • Ensure daily performance standards.
  • Manage employment lifecycle of field technicians: interviewing, hiring, coaching, disciplining, and discharge.
Coaching and Development
  • Mentor Area Managers and Supervisors for professional growth.
  • Teach lean principles for project improvement.
  • Lead weekly meetings to discuss safety, quality, and performance.
  • Participate in monthly safety and performance meetings.
  • Conduct quarterly ride-alongs and implement efficiency initiatives.
Client Relations
  • Act as the primary operational contact with clients.
  • Maintain customer relations and discuss procedural changes.
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • 5-7 years of utility industry experience required.
  • 5-7 years of managerial experience preferred.
  • 2+ years in a similar managerial role.
  • Experience with software rollouts, gas leak surveys, meter reading, damage prevention preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Familiar with OneDrive and Office 365.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and data analysis skills required.
  • Obtain Lean Six Sigma white belt and lean certification within 6 months.

SALARY RANGE: $120,000 - $140,000 plus bonus, car allowance, and benefits.

Offers contingent on background check and drug screening.
