The Utility Project Manager supports electrical utility capital projects including substation upgrades, transmission line upgrades, hydro projects, Smart Grids, environmental compliance work, and gas projects. We are hiring multiple Project Managers to join our team in the following locations:

Rochester, NY

Augusta, ME

How will you contribute to the team?

• Provide management and daily leadership for AtkinsRéalis project team.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants at the project level.
• Create and execute project execution plans, revising as needed.
• Manage day-to-day operations within the project scope.
• Promote effective communication among all stakeholders.
• Implement management systems supporting the project, such as quality assurance, safety, risk management, and change control.
• Support early safety integration into the design process.
• Identify resources needed and assign responsibilities.
• Review team deliverables before client submission.
• Prepare for project reviews and quality assurance procedures.
• Minimize AtkinsRéalis' exposure and risk.
• Ensure project documents are complete and properly stored.
• Track and report team hours and expenses weekly.
• Support management in providing budget forecasts and updates.
• Monitor and address billing issues and invoices.
• Manage and review consultant invoices.
• Follow up on unpaid invoices with clients and consultants.
• Develop project financial forecasts and summaries.
• Review project status reports and financial reports for client billing.
• Forecast revenue, profitability, and utilization.
• Handle legal documents related to projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you contribute?

• 5+ years of utility project management experience; more for higher levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an MBA preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification preferred.
• Professional Engineering license optional.
• Understanding of project management, construction, CPM scheduling, cost modeling, and risk analysis.
• Experience with Primavera, Expedition/Prolong, AtkinsRéalis proprietary Epoch and CATO software.
• Proficiency with IT tools including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Project.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
