CONTRACT ROLE

Insomniac is looking for a Project Manager (Systems). In this role, the Project Manager (Systems) will lead and coordinate with vision holders to set Pod goals, ensuring the successful implementation of System features and Mechanics. This role is crucial in delivering an immersive gaming experience by managing schedules, facilitating communication, and solving challenges within the development process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Build, modify, and maintain schedules for assigned Pods in partnership with Pod Leads.
2. Partner with Track and Pod Leads to create milestone goals and deliverables.
3. Anticipate and solve problems independently and collaboratively to ensure smooth production.
4. Guide stakeholder reviews and feedback processes with Pod Leads.
5. Communicate updates to the development team about project changes and progress.
6. Facilitate cross-discipline communication and unblock team members from task dependencies.
7. Maintain awareness of Pod content status through regular play sessions.

Computer Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of bug tracking databases such as DevTrack, TFS, Jira, or others.
• Working knowledge of version control software; Perforce preferred.

Other Skills

• Problem-solving skills both independently and collaboratively, adhering to the studio’s cultural expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present ideas clearly and work well within a large team environment.
• Effective team leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to create and maintain good relationships with other departments.
