Job summary

WLB Group, an LJA Company, is seeking a Project Manager to supervise the Nevada Survey Department and manage multiple survey teams. You will oversee budgets, client relations, and staffing, while coordinating with executives on yearly plans and resource needs.

The role requires a licensed Professional Surveyor with 10 years in the industry and at least 5 years in project management. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Surveyor required.
  • 10 years’ experience in the industry.
  • 5 years of project management experience.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise operations in the Nevada Survey Department, including budget and client relations.
  • Direct daily activities of the department, including time, cost estimates, manpower, and projections.
  • Establish annual business plans with leadership.
  • Set office objectives and balance staffing and workload.
  • Develop project plans and collaborate with PMs on timeframes, budgets, staffing.
  • Assist with developing project proposals.
  • Maintain executive-level client relationships and liaise between client and project team.
  • Research project information and utilize AutoCAD and other software as needed.
  • Communicate with survey staff and provide guidance.

Position Overview

As a Project Manager at WLB Group, an LJA Company, you will be responsible for the daily management of multiple survey technicians and support staff in the Nevada Survey Department.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise business and project operations in the Nevada Survey Department, including budget, client relations, and business development.
  • Directly supervise daily activities of the department, including project time and cost estimates, manpower and project projections.
  • Establish annual business plan with the President and Vice President.
  • Set office objectives; collaborate with PMs; establish group plan; balance staffing and workload; prioritize long-term resources; organize project team; achieve financial objectives; analyze team and group financial performance; initiate corrective actions; report results to management.
  • Develop project plans and objectives; collaborate with Project Managers to determine timeframes, budgets, staffing, and schedules.
  • Assist with developing project proposals as needed.
  • Maintain executive-level client relationships; respond to project inquiries; serve as liaison between client and project team members.
  • Research project information; utilize AutoCAD and other software packages as needed.
  • Communicate with other survey staff; provide guidance to team members.
Required Education / Licenses / Certifications
  • Professional Licensed Surveyor.
Required Qualifications
  • 10 years’ experience in the industry.
  • 5 years of project management experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
